First impressions are that the Tattoo feels a lot like the HTC G2 Touch. The two handsets both have a 2.8-inch QVGA 240 x 320 resistive touchscreen, fixed-focus 3.2-mega pixel camera and palm-sized dimensions.

A couple of people were the authors of a hot leak, that of HTC Dragon, an Android device with a 1 GHz Qualcomm CPU. The folks of XDA Developers managed to get hold of an experimental HTC build and made a couple of logical deductions starting from there.The build is called “Pet Dragon” and screen-shots from it are pictured below, seemingly meant to be part of HTC Dragon’s interface. HTC Dragon is also known as Zoom 2 and it’ll support a 800 x 480 pixel resolution, quite impressive for any handset. Turns out that Dragon is also a capacitive touchscreen deice and no, it’s not HTC Leo, Desire or Passion.
We also learn that the smart-phone operates on “2.0 firmware” coupled with HTC Sense UI, but all in all the software is still under development and it needs work. A couple of interesting new features are HTC SSD and TV browser…

Download HTC-IME.apk and Clicker.apk
Copy the .apk files to the memory of your Samsung i7500 (you can mount your SD card to your PC and copy the files – plug in the cable, pull down the notification bar and click ‘USB connected’, then mount the sdcard. It’ll show up as a new drive on your computer)
Install Astro File Manager from the android market
Then open Astro File Manager and click and install HTC_IME , and then click and install Clicker
Go to Locale & Test in the settings menu and select Touch Input and Exit
Go back into Locale & Text and in the Touch Input options choose the alphanumeric Keypad and exit.
Now create a new text message and click and hold the text box and select Input method, and select Touch Input

The G2 Touch is the T-Mobile branded version of the HTC Hero, it’s the third Android-powered device from HTC. The G2 Touch has an all-new user interface and one of the most impressive and useful features is the ability to view a log of all communication channels for a chosen contact. For example, choose a name from your contacts and within a single view you can see all calls, texts and emails plus all communications on the likes of Face-book and Twitter.

On June 2nd, 2009 it was released through Rogers Wireless in Canada as the HTC Dream. This edition of the HTC Dream includes the UMTS 850 / 1900 bands for use on Rogers’ 3G network.
