It is based upon the latest official 2.1 release for the HTC Hero CDMA.

FULL WIPE before flashing.

Android 2.1 update 1 – Eclair for Openmoko Neo Freerunner – download

Unpack the files on to a FAT formatted SD card.

Recommendation: uImage.bin copy in / boot

Insert card into the Freerunner, and boot from (NOR) menu (hold AUX key, then power)

Choose Boot from SD Card (FAT and ext2)

The automated install process should begin. It installs the Qi bootloader, reboots, the kernel, reboots and then installs the system image.
